Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina. This assignment begins Dec 16, 2025, and features 12-hour shifts with a rotating 36/40-hour schedule, including every other weekend. The provider will work autonomously within a provider/MA/front desk business model, caring for a high patient volume in a dynamic urgent care setting.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide autonomous urgent care services to a high volume of patients
• Conduct patient evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment for acute illnesses and injuries
• Collaborate with medical assistants and front desk staff to ensure efficient clinic operations
• Perform procedures and manage urgent cases as needed within scope of practice
• Maintain complete and accurate patient documentation
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and safety standards

Additional Information

• Must hold an active NC Physician Assistant license
• Must be able to work autonomously; new graduates are not eligible
• DOT certification is a plus
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certifications required
• Flexibility to float to nearby locations as needed
