Position Summary:\nMinimum 2 years of experience. The Perioperative RN is responsible for coordinating and managing safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care for surgical patients throughout the perioperative process including the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases. The employee will provide support, education, direct care to patients, and act as a liaison between the surgical team and the patient families/support systems. Using a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to patient care, the perioperative nurse works closely with the entire surgical team. The perioperative registered nurse may serve as a: (1) Circulating Nurse, (2) 1st Scrub (Instrument) Nurse, and/or (3) 2nd Scrub (Assistant) Nurse depending on level of experience and training.\nMust have Cerner EHR experience.\nEducation/Training:\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nGraduate of an accredited RN program\nBSN is desired but not required\n\nExperience:\n\nGastroenterology / Endoscopy Lab experience\nOrthopedic, general surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, ENT surgical procedures and interventional pain management experience is required.\n\nLicenses / Certifications:\n\nCurrent licensure as RN, in good standing\nCurrent AHA BLS certification\nCurrent ACLS certification\nCurrent PALS certification\nCNOR certification\n\nCatalytic Solutions Job ID #4-291925. Pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
