Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Perioperative/PACU RN with at least 2 years of perioperative surgical nursing experience and a CO or compact RN license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in a hospital perioperative setting covering pre-op, intra-op, and post-op phases
• Covers operating room and PACU responsibilities including Circulating Nurse, 1st Scrub, and 2nd Scrub roles
• Patient populations include gastroenterology, orthopedics, general surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, ENT, and interventional pain management
• Weekday schedule with five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts
• Cerner EHR is used and prior experience is required
• Responsible for managing safe and effective patient-family centered care throughout the surgical process
• Acts as a liaison between the surgical team and patient families/support systems
• Provides patient and family education and direct care during all surgical phases
• Works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality outcomes
• CNOR certification is desired
• No COVID-19 vaccination requirement is listed

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active CO or compact RN license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of recent perioperative or PACU nursing experience
• Graduate of an accredited RN program; BSN preferred
• Certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS
• Demonstrated proficiency with Cerner EHR
• Experience in gastroenterology/endoscopy, orthopedics, general surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, ENT, and pain management procedures
