Senior Accountant

Our client, an industry leader with operations in central NC, has an immediate opening for a Senior Accountant. Reporting to the Division Controller, the Senior Accountant's responsibilities include:


1) Provide support to the Accounting team by ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger.


2) Partner with the business unit and add value added finance by providing analysis of growth initiative and similar KPI's using analytical tools.


3) Serve as a team player by working with cross-functional team members in discovering opportunities for process improvements and enhanced reporting.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or related
• 3-7 years related experience
• General Ledger expertise and understanding of US GAAP
• Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel
• Oracle, Hyperion system experience desired
• Problem analysis and problem-solving skills, strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Working knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Understanding of how business information and accounting systems fit together to provide information.
