WTHI-TV is seeking an experienced anchor. We’re a smaller market station, but we take news seriously. Essential Duties & Responsibilities : Includes the following (other duties may be assigned): Anchor weekday morning newscast Anchor and produce weekday morning cutins Prepare, write and edit scripts for newscasts and online and social networking products Produce newscasts for air Report news stories when assigned Be a strong storyteller Contribute story ideas on a regular basis, organizational skills and work under pressure a must Develop and maintain contacts and news sources throughout the viewing area Make public appearances Other job related duties as required Job Requirements: Strong writing and communication skills Strong news judgment College degree in journalism or related field Valid Indiana or Illinois driver’s license and clean criminal/driving record Contract will be required Special Skills (Preferred): Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure of strict deadlines Non-linear editing ENPS Web Publishing Skills ********* EOE/MINORITIES/FEMALES/VETERANS/DISABLED ********* Pre-Employment Background Check About Allen Media Broadcasting: Allen Media Broadcasting offers strong benefits including health, vision, dental and life insurance for full-time employees and a 401(k) contribution plan for all employees.
