The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Lifebits growing US team. As a Junior Solutions Architect, youll support senior team members in pre-sales, solution delivery, and customer success activities. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional who is eager to learn how to bridge technology and science to solve real-world problems.

Were looking for someone with foundational experience or academic background in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Data Engineering, or a related field, and a passion for applying technology to federal health and biomedical research.

Youll work with cross-functional teams including Senior Solutions Managers, engineers, and scientists to understand customer needs, assist in technical demonstrations, and support deployments of Lifebits Federated AI Platform.

Based in the Washington, DC/DMV area, youll collaborate with clients and internal teams to learn how to design, configure, and communicate solutions that meet complex technical and scientific requirements.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Pre-Sales & Federal Engagement

  • Support Senior Solutions Managers and Sales in preparing demos, presentations, and technical documentation.
  • Assist with solution workshops and proposal responses by gathering requirements and helping align them with Lifebits capabilities.
  • Learn to translate RFI/RFP requirements into basic solution outlines under mentorship.

Solution Delivery & Customer Success

  • Participate in customer onboarding and platform setup activities, ensuring smooth handover and communication.
  • Help configure data ingestion and harmonization pipelines (e.g., OMOP, FHIR, CDISC) under supervision.
  • Shadow customer meetings and deployments to gain experience with federated access, metadata cataloging, and Trusted Research Environment (TRE) capabilities.

Collaboration & Enablement

  • Work closely with senior team members to capture customer feedback and translate it into actionable insights for product and engineering teams.
  • Assist in preparing internal documentation, training materials, and user guides for customers.
  • Contribute to whitepapers or technical notes as part of your professional development.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 01 years of experience in a technical, analytical, or customer-facing role (internships or research projects count).
  • Basic understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and/or data standards (OMOP, FHIR, CDISC).
  • Interest in federated data systems, privacy-preserving technologies, or biomedical data analytics.
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn how to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • U.S.-based and eligible to work on federal health projects (security clearance eligibility is required).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Coursework or internship experience related to data interoperability, health informatics, or software development.
  • Exposure to scripting or analytical tools (Python, SQL, RStudio, or Jupyter).
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) or containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Background or strong interest in public health, genomics, or healthcare research.
  • Eagerness to grow into a Solutions Architect or Technical Lead role through mentorship and handson experience.
