About the Job We are a dynamic organization in the thriving healthy aging sector, and we're on the lookout for a meticulous Cost Accountant to join our financial team. If you have a passion for crunching numbers, a keen eye for detail, and love deciphering the language of costs, you might just be the financial detective we're looking for.
Main Responsibilities: - Dive deep into our costs, analyzing external suppliers' fees, raw materials, packaging, and tracking internal freight and storage costs.
- Identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
- Keep a watchful eye on inventory valuation and reconcile any discrepancies.
- Work closely with operations to ensure accurate recording of inventory movements and booking of variances.
- Perform calculation for inventory reserves in accordance with company principles.
- Calculate and record capitalization of variances and costs not included in standards.
- Contribute to the budgeting process, providing insights into cost projections.
- Support loading of new year standards in accounting system, ensuring accuracy of inventory revaluations.
- Conduct variance analysis to understand differences between actual and standard costs.
- Present findings to management, providing actionable recommendations.
- Continuously look for opportunities to streamline and improve cost accounting processes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to implement changes that enhance efficiency.
About You: - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years' experience as a Cost Accountant or in a similar financial role.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

The salary range for this position is: $84,000.00 - $120,000.00
