1st shift: 7am-330pm

Monday-Friday

Pay Range $25-$35/hr based on experience

Purpose: CNC Machinists operate within the tool room team by setting up and running CNC equipment to produce high-precision mold components, supporting efficient mold builds and overall production goals.

Responsibilities

• Setup pre-programmed jobs and tooling on Haas VMC CNC machines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve setup-related issues to ensure accurate, efficient machining.
• Operate CNC machines to produce cavity, core, and plate components per engineering and quality standards.
• Make necessary edits or offsets at the machine control to achieve specified dimensions.
• Adhere to all departmental and company standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
• Apply both 2D and 3D machining techniques for a wide variety of mold components.
• Work under the direction of a Mold Maker/Programmer to meet critical dimensions and tolerances.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Must have at least 3yrs CNC setup and operation; Haas experience a plus
• Must be able to set tooling and machine from setup sheets with minimal assistance.
• Must be able to do edits and offsets at the control to achieve the desired sizes and results
• Must have knowledge of cutter speeds and feeds for drills, end mills and insert type tooling.
• Must be able to use related measuring equipment properly, such as indicators, micrometers, etc.
• Programming experience is a plus but not required.
• Injection mold building experience a plus but not required.
• Understands metals and tolerances
• Ability to independently operate and validate work out of all tool room equipment at a high level of competency
• Professional and respectful
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to readily adapt to changes in customer demands and come up with workable solutions
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, peers, and outside customers
• Able to carry maximum unassisted lift of 60lbs
• Occasional climbing steps, walking and standing on uneven terrain, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, bending, handling, turning, balancing, carrying, grasping
